3) I live with (roommates, spouse, my children, a tiger, etc): my husband, and also a mouse I've been working up the nerve to kill
4) My posts usually fall into the following categories: --daily life --analyzing personal relationships --making a new life in a new country (happens a lot) --travel --at the moment, unfortunately, there's a lot of job hunting drama --extremely occasional political rants
5) My favorite things to read on my friends list are: Anything, as long as it's thought out and written with a sense of purpose.
6) In the past few years the biggest issues for me with friendship have been: Physical distance, more than anything. There are so many different ways to communicate internationally and I'm comfortable with all of them, but it's hard to keep track of everyone else's preferences. Viber, WhatsApp, Skype, email, snail mail, phone calls, Google Hangouts, Facebook, Facebook Messenger, VK. Everyone's constantly checking messages, and things fall through the cracks. I also have a hunch that my generation is uniquely tolerant of flakiness and I often feel like I have much higher expectations for communication and sticking to agreed upon plans than most other people born after 1985.
7) I post entries on average once every (day, 2 days, week, etc): Recently I have only been posting once every two weeks or so, but that should become more frequent. I've been on LJ for 14 years without interruption, so I'm not going anywhere.
8) If someone made a deluxe action figure based on me, it would have these 3 props and 3 outfits: Amazing prompt. Props: A laptop with a wacom tablet and pen permanently attached, a bag of gummy candy, and a pot of black tea. Outfits: All black everything, with boots. Light wash jeans with an oversized sweater and a wool scarf, probably with the same boots. Sweatpants covered in dog hair, slippers, and a t-shirt that used to say Starbucks Coffee but has been edited-by-sharpie to read 'fuck off'.
2) Self-labels / identity: straight cis-gender woman, feminist, socialist, introvert, atheist, graphic designer, 4th generation New Yorker, expat/serial migrant/global citizen
