#11 - YES. We have a non-LJ, public blog (that I suck at remembering to update) where we don't even use our real names or real jobs to protect ourselves. Our family members, who are really our readership, know it's us but otherwise, most people wouldn't know based on the names or the info of the blog. The fact that LJ is an area where I can lock posts down and let the people I choose in is incredibly appealing to me. And much more liberating!

Agreed with all of your points but this one really rang true for me.
