I know it's hard to ask for support when you need a recharge. I've gotten hurt many times for asking for that support and getting kicked aside for it.
With that said, I have found out I can do my own style of self recharging. It was learn how to do it yourself or explode. I'm going to guess that having that person(s) in your life who can do the recharge is much better then a self recharge.
I'm also so afraid of trusting someone with my recharge needs I just act like everything is grand. Many of times I needed a crying lap to lean into while I release emotional needs. "Men don't cry. What's a matter with you? You're wierd!" Men are supposed to be needless. Always the strong one.
So without a support network in place I had no other option but to learn to self recharge.
I guess the only thing I can tell you is, if you know you can trust someone to help you recharge in a positive way don't be afraid to reach out.

i can so relate to this. caretakers often find it hard to reach out and receive support.. it's just our nature to think of others' need before ours.. i think it's a blessing kyle is different than the other people you met in your life. not everyone is going to treat you like the others in your life. *hugs* it's beautiful you are aware of this. now you can grow from it..
