August 14th -- Viv and I went out to coffee before meeting up with Viv's friends Alex & Stian for Alex's birthday celebration.

oh, and it was all I could do to bite my tongue when someone started going on about Ariana having a "girl face." Nooooo, ze has a BABY face. I was thinking about the study where people were told that a baby was male, and then different people were told that the same baby was female, and not only did they ascribe gendered traits to the babies (for instance, one baby apparently smiled because boys are more outgoing and also because girls are more friendly, hmmmm), they gave them gendered toys (ball vs doll). Oh, but gender isn't TRAINED IN FROM BIRTH or anything. *flails*
