Tsubomi (meaning 'Buds') by Kobukuro

This is a song the shorter guy wrote about his late mother and this song won the Japan Record Award last year.

Even when you dropped  tears
They were hidden in your smile and sweat in your face
So nobody noticed and I don't know your tears
The warm light in my heart that never disappered
That was the light of love you gave me unconditionally

The above is just the beginning of the song and I wish I could translate it better and full song as it's really touching.  From the lyrics, I guess his mother worked really hard to raise her children.  Looking back how my mother was, I don't remember if I ever saw her tears, either.  I mean I did see them when someone passed away or when she watched a sad TV drama, etc., but I don't recall if I saw them of her own pain or sorrow.  I guess that's how mothers are.

family, daily life, music
