All Betters Now
Much of today sucked, because of a tetanus shot and AWFUL PMS and boring class and stuff.
Then we went over the Jessie's and the awesome flowed like wine at Tonore's.
I brought a chocolate pie and ran Changeling. It was really a fun session. The idea was that the childling PC and some of her friends were playing a game at the park, but the other PCs weren't told that it was a game. Arum came to them and told them that her friend Liska had been kidnapped. They had to help her find something before they could go and save her. It slowly came out that they were playing a game in which Arum and Liska were princesses and a stranger had entered their kingdom, tricked Liska into marrying him, and abducted her into the woods. Arum had to reclaim the now broken wand of moonbeams to rescue her sister. To do this, they had to find out where it was by consulting the sluagh childling (in the game the Priestess of Eternity) who used soothsay (her bunk involved the merry-go-round) to tell them where the pieces were. Then they collected the pieces while having to fight off the stranger's servants. (Their friend who was the bad guy in this game was an eshu with talecraft 5.) They reclaimed the artifact and hurried into the woods to rescue Liska. There Arum confronts the stranger, and there's an adorable scene of playacting between the three childlings, in which Liska refuses to allow Arum to hurt her pretend husband. It ended with the girls deciding to turn him into a good guy instead, and everyone danced around in a circle, Arum began a spontaneous game of duck-duck-goose, and the kids ran around and played. It was all adorable and silly.
It was so awesome that afterwards we had to go to Kidspace to run around and play in the dark. It was wonderful. We played pirates and hide and seek.
So yeah. The evening made up for the rest of the day.
And I have stuff to make chai for breakfast.
