Another health care fact

I've been wondering about this for a while. As of 2001, when the insurance rate was higher than it is now, 18,000 people under the age of 65 were dying a year because of lack of health coverage. 18,000 people. Our health insurance system kills more Americans than diabetes. Unless that figure is off by a factor of 100 or more, that trumps even the worst case nightmare scenarios of increased taxes and waiting times and whatever else people are afraid will happen if we get the government involved in health care.
