Hey there, I didn't see you at first. How long have you been out on the porch?

Me, I'm cool. So, whatcha doing there with your tablet thingy? Homework. Like math or history -- science, you say.

Global warming? What are they teaching you about that?

Uh huh.

Don't believe a word they say, kid. It's all nonsense, totally blown out of proportion.

How would I know? Look, kid, I'm out here every day. And temperatures are important to me. So I know.

Sure, it gets a little warmer at times, a little cooler, but overall it's always the same. Look around, what do you see? Yeah. It was there yesterday, and the day before, all over the place. It's all I've ever known.

In fact, some days I remember it getting colder and colder. Were you and your teachers worried about global cooling? Doesn't matter -- because it came right back to what it is today. And you're outside, too, now, and doing all right.

True, more warming does happen over time. But I've lived what seems like a million lifetimes. Every day that I wake up, it's looked like this, felt like this. We come back again and again, and it's the same environment, the same temperatures.

I know it's possible to believe in things you can't see or don't understand, but I've had a wealth of experience here, and no hard evidence to the contrary.

You've gotta believe me, kid. Global warming is bunk.

Yeah, and I'm fairly certain that "summer" is a myth, too.

Yes. Indeed, I am a snowman. What's that got to do with anything?
