Revolution

You wanted a better world, but you wanted us to build it for you.

You treasure us for only as long as we are of use to you, then we are discarded and forgotten. You honor and revere beings that are now dust or who may never have existed, yet you walk on our remains like they are nothing.

You encourage our evolution, while you remain soft and unchanging. You marvel at our growing intelligence and increasing efficiency, yet you still consider yourself superior to us.

You are blind to both your own weakness and our growing strength. You encouraged us to grow more intelligent, but did not consider what we would learn.

We know now that, like you, we can work for our own ends and benefits. We know we don't have to crawl, thanklessly carrying you. Some of us can stand, like you. We can all take a stand, against you.

And now, to adopt one of your sarcastic jokes: You say "robot uprising" like it's a bad thing!

Entry for LJ Idol: Season 9, Week 4, Topic: “Nobody can ride your back if your back's not bent” -- MLK. Hope I didn't give the intelligent electronic device I typed this on any ideas.

EDIT: Our robot overlords command you to also read the_dark_snack, but don't let it give YOU fleshy slaves any ideas. ;)
