Turkey week begins

Hard to believe it's already almost (US) Thanksgiving!

Quick reminder: LJ Idol voting is up until 1 p.m. Tuesday. I'm at the top of the second Tribe.

As for the football, as promised, here's how my picks for this last weekend went:
My choices, in ALL CAPS, followed by results:
Cincinnati at PITTSBURGH, Pittsburgh 27-10
N.Y. Jets at TENNESSEEE, Jets 34-13
TAMPA BAY at Detroit, Tampa Bay 38-20
CHICAGO at St. Louis, Chicago 27-3
NEW ENGLAND at Miami, New England 48-28
San Francisco at DALLAS, Dallas 35-22
BUFFALO at Kansas City, Buffalo 54-31
Houston at CLEVELAND, Houston 35-22
Philadelphia at BALTIMORE, Baltimore 36-7
Minnestota at JACKSONVILLE, Minnesota 30-12
Oakland at DENVER, Oakland 31-10
CAROLINA at Atlanta, Atlanta 45-28
WASHINGTON at Seattle, Washington 20-17
N.Y. GIANTS at Arizona, Giants 37-29
INDIANAPOLIS at San Diego, Indy 23-20

Contrary to what many are saying, I'm not ready to declare the Jets the best of the AFC. Good, yes, but the season's far from over. And Tennessee was due to lose eventually -- at least it was to a good team. Now the hype monkey is off the Titans' back, which might help their focus going into the playoffs. I'm sure Detroit is in big trouble Thursday, as if things weren't bad enough for the winless Lions.
And I told someone before the Colts game that San Diego would play better, but the Colts would pull a win out of their butts. Didn't watch the whole thing to see if I was right on the first part, but it did come down to a Vinatieri kick.

And for tonight, I picked New Orleans to prevail over Green Bay in the Superdome. We'll see...
