But can I cut the mustard?
I got hit with this meme twice over the past week, so I'll take care of both and pass the disease on today. But I'll probably act on comments Monday, so look for responses next week. Here goes:

Rules: Comment; and I will name you 3 interests from your list, and 3 userpics and you explain them in your own post asking the same of your f-listers.

nonabloch asked about these:

1. Alan Parsons Project -- One of the great progressive-rock bands of the 1970s and 80s. What made this group unique was that Parsons was primarily the engineer, not just a musician in the band. He was Grammy-nominated (or maybe won) for his work on Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon." So he shepherded an ever-changing ensemble of musicians, singers and songwriters. Each album was a theme album, starting with the classic "Tales of Mystery and Imagination" dedicated to the works of Edgar Alan Poe. This is a must-have and not easily found as it was the only record made on the Casablanca label. At one time had either a tape or tape copy of all their albums up to that date.
2.
iharthdarth -- Excellent LJ-based Star Wars-inspired webcomic. It's on permanent hiatus, but lives on in numerous icons.
3. Pearls Before Swine -- Hilarious comic strip with great critter characters (Pig, Rat, the Crocodiles, etc.). I like reading it all the time, so it made the interests list.

Icons:
1. "Stop saying that," my "Hello, My name is Inego Montoya, you killed my father, prepare to die" badge
Like most folks, I'm a big Princess Bride fan. I like incorporating that with the classic "Hello" tag -- which looks nerdy but always helps me out as I'm bad at remembering names.
2. "Hamlet," updating his Live Journal. Struck me as funny when I saw and copied it (don't remember from whom). Works great both for theatre and LJ-drama posts.
3. "Arthur Dent," with the 10th Doctor (Who) in his bathrobe (I think this is from the Christmas episode) looking "Very Arthur Dent-ish." It fit my identifying as An Arthur Dent Waiting to Happen, and I've posted before about that.

anjala asked about these:

1. This is True -- Excellent web-based newsletter. Every week comes another edition of strange-but-true stories, each with a one-liner of commentary. And occasionally the commentary takes over when someone objects to something, at which point it gets really fun. Signing up is free, though there is a double-length paid-subscription edition as well. This guy is the source of the Get Out of Hell Free cards I always carry.
2. Girlamatic -- a webcomics site I found via Narbonic, which has a number of interesting comics, all either about or by females. Not all of them strike my fancy, but there's some good storytelling there. Many are free, others by subscription but this week's page is free.
3. Individuality -- Remember you're unique, just like everyone else. I'm all about letting you be you, so that I'm free to be me.

Icons:
1. "Pussy" -- "The pussy shall inherit the earth" it declares, in true cat-like fashion. Tends to end up attached to topics either feminine or feline in nature.
2. "Eris Serendipity" -- She is, essentially, my muse. And if you ask her, it's past time she showed up again. If you see her face as the icon, the post is written in her voice.
3. "SP Beldar" -- I did the character-generator game at the South Park website, and this looks a lot like me. Hardly any photos of me on the Web, anywhere, so this is about as close to a self-portrait as you get.

Now, F-listers, it's your turn.
