i may be way out of the cool kid music loop on this one, so forgive me if this is old news.
if you haven't already, go directly to itunes and buy melody gardot's album "worrisome heart." it's $5.99. if you wind up hating it, i'll mail you six bucks. seriously.
this is the best newly-released jazz album i've heard in a good while. great voice, sweet arrangements, all original tunes...it's making me really happy right now.
there's also an amazing story to go along with this...melody was hit by a car while riding a bike, and through music therapy to regain cognitive brain function, started recording music. and it's good, good music. so check it out, is all i'm sayin.
