Update!
Ok, so I haven't really been able to do an -actual- update in quite some time.. so.. here goes!
Wii = bane of my schoolwork, but it's ok because Winter Quarter Battle 07 is just about over! Next quarter should be super easy. I'm taking 10 credits hours and should be done everyday at 10:30am, except for Wednesdays when I have 666 sometime in the evening. In other words.. Spring Quarter Relaxation 07 is quickly approaching.
This morning me and my teaching partner are teaching again at AIMS. Today's all about rhythm, and for some reason it was really hard to come up with any kind of lesson plan at all. I thought of a few more things to throw into the lesson using rhythm, that I hope he'll go along with. We'll see how it goes! TG or his assistant is going to be observing us today, but I'm not really that worried. What I have going in my head is that we could start off with a couple simple rhythm exercises: have one half of the class do one type of rhythm, and then have the other class do another type of rhythm at the same time. Then we could switch the groups so that they're not doing the same thing over and over again. We could build upon that and make the rhythms more complex, eventually ending with them doing some type of rhythm with a Gypsy Kings song, and maybe having some of them improv some rhythm. Woot.
I love it when the only thing I need to bring to school with me is a travel mug of Chai. :D
