I really didn't have a clue what possible pairings might be lurking on your list, but I especially would never have thought of Beth/Ruth, but that was lovely and much fun. And actually this meme fits that bit of Spooks from S1 and 2 that I'm always saying I want to see in fic. So, yay!
Also, looking at your edits: this is what happens when you go away from LJ for FOUR MONTHS. (Not that I've missed you and been counting, obv.) They do all sorts of stuff. Have you looked at your new flist yet? *innocent* (I have: I finally started crossposting from Dreamwidth. It was that much of a shock.)
Haha, Beth and Ruth were the very first people I thought of when I realised I could expand 'pairing' to include 'housemates'. Despite the fact that they have annoyingly similar names that make sentences flow not good, it was enormously fun to be writing again. Thanks for the prompt... and the continued prompting. :)
UGH NEW FLIST PAGE WHYYYYY. There's no way that's going to get up, is there? Surely not. I can hear the outraged screechings from here.
Well, it was good. And, ha, yes, Beth and Ruth - I didn't really think of that. They shouldn't be allowed such awkward names, obviously.
Well, I think it's something to do with LJ being an old site and there being all this different/outdated coding for each layout that's why the site does peculiar things every time they change something, so presumably it's to level everything out and then build up again. But, being LJ, they prefer to let us have the drama of rumour and speculation. But yeah, it's not good. My computer (and me) still doesn't even get on well with the default comment layout. (It's already complaining at me for having been on your entry for too long now.) But I should think whatever we end up with the transition's going to be a pain, so I'm all backed up at Dreamwidth and sometimes I actually remember to crosspost. It's a nuisance, though.
Oh, well that sounds... logical. You mean they're not just messing with code on purpose to create drama??
I do have a dreamwidth, one day I should set it up I guess even if just as a backup.... seems like most people are Elsewhere these days. Nice to see ficrush still way popular though!
I don't think I'd swear to anything concerning LJ...
It was really easy to import my LJ. I just pressed some buttons and in a few seconds I was all backed up. I'm trying to crosspost because the new flist might cause some people migraines and things and I don't want to lose people.
