Love your picspam - and I hadn't picked up on the 'Zaf's running a book' thing. Great. :-)

And LOVE the ficlet! :lol: at the ref to Tom (he could well do it - that would be marvellous) and 'knowing who Ruth is has absolutely nothing to do with it'. :-D ♥

Well, it might as well be Tom - half of the others are dead, so... what happens with the betting then? You know what I like most about this, I've decided: it inserts into S9 the sort of banter we'd actually have had on-screen only a few series ago. :-D

Oh god, it's only because Tariq and Dimitri don't know that half of the others are dead that I could pull this off as lighthearted! (How incredibly fucked is this show?) I think that's part of the reason I like the new cast, actually, despite expecting to hate the continuous team regeneration - if the old cast were still around they would be carrying so much angst that bantering would be impossible. It's quite nice to have some innocence around. Not that I expect it to last...

The ficlet is WONDERFUL. I am firmly in the camp of Tariq and Dimitri being bffs, and Tom Quinn would so still win the betting, even from afar. <3

Brilliant ficlet; you got all my favourite references in there - Tom, Zaf... Lovely.

Your idea of the ledger is excellent - someone on my flist once worked up a fridge door with magnets and post-it-notes, written by House and Wilson. It was very funny.

I had fun. :) That fridge door idea sounds fabulous - I've seen that kind of thing in bigger fandoms (all I have bookmarked is A Partial Map of Your TARDIS) and it would be lovely if someone in Spooks fandom wanted to be a bit creative. Zoe and Danny's fridge door would be pretty hilarious.

Thanks! And you're right - I'm enjoying this series because I automatically write in the little funny/human scenes in my head now. If I'd never discovered fandom I probably would've given up somewhere around series 6!
