fic: none of the ones I am supposed to be writing.

Jun 05, 2010 14:45

Um, what? Hi. I promise I will get to the drabble-prompts, birthday fics, zombie waffle chefs, and the co-written neverending post-apocalyptic crossover epic, um, eventually.

Post-4.07 AU. Spoilers, 1500 words, unbetaed. Fiona Carter, after. Title is from Dorianne Laux.

How it will happen, when. )

fic: spooks

Excellently done. I especially liked the exchanges with Zaf and Ros.

"That man has the kind of problems which can't be solved by all the shrinks at Thames House. It's fine. I'll talk to Siviter; he'll be more than happy to meddle in Five's internal affairs."

And there's the next instalment, longing to be written (and read).

Thank you! I honestly have no idea where this came from, but I seem to have made a habit of resurrecting people.

As for another installment, I'm never going to be brave enough to attempt Siviter but the thought of him and Ros working together is enough to make me very pleased. There's a whole swathe of Ros-at-Six fics waiting for someone to write them!

Ros is the only one who could handle Jools.

That was the PRECISE sentence I wanted to pick out!

And EXCELLENT, all this. (And SUCH a better AU than the entire season of canon!Adam's pathetic moonings!)

That was so impressive - and unexpected - and your characterisation of everyone is superb. I could hear Zaf saying every line, but everyone - and some of the dialogue made me want you to be writing Spooks, because that was how it ought to be done.

And, yes, am happy for any fic, but especially if it involves a zombie waffle chef...

Aw, thank you! I'm grinning like a mad thing at your comment and so pleased you liked the voices.

I actually intended to try the zombie waffle chef, but this came out instead... I must have been bottling it up for a while is my only explanation. :D But, definitely on the pile for later!

At two, Zaf is on her doorstep, still in his suit and looking about twelve years old in his distress. She lets him in because he has always been kind to her.
I love everything about this whole fic! Both encounters, Fiona's wariness and her weariness, the way she's sure she never really fit with five anyway. All the surface-level resentment and grief; all that packing of selves into boxes. It's ritualistic - she wants to get the next room done, and the next, because that's what she knows.

And, of course: Ros. It's funny because I wanted Fiona to be Ros (and then we got Ros after all, so it didn't make a huge difference) but this makes me want a team of renegade female officers. Tessa! Fiona! Ros! Connie! AMAZING.

Also I have been thinking about you because I've been rewatching WITB & idk, that makes me think of you. Hi, you are great, I eagerly await more!

Thank you so much! I'm so glad you liked it, you being one of the very few Fiona-fic-writers around. :D :D I found her frustratingly un-understandable in the show, but she's such a complex and interesting character when you get down to the crazy details of her life. (And thanks for noticing the ritualistic box-packing thing, which seems to show its head in lots of my fic, ha.)

Renegade Female Ninja Team - yes please! I am still waiting for the fic where someone brings Connie back to life, because she was so much fun to write, especially with Ros.

Aw, I don't know why WITB makes you think of me seeing as I have only ever written that one lame fic once? lol. But I have been thinking of you because I found an excellent postcard the other day which I have been meaning to send you! I'll do it soon, yes.

This is exquisitely written - it feels just like watching an episode. The voices are perfect. Very very well done.

This is pitch-perfectly in character. I can imagine all the scenes as though an episode is playing in front of me.

I'm with delgaserasca on this: Renegade female officers, NOW.

Thanks! It makes me very happy that it came across so vividly for people. *g* Yes, I've been re-watching series 1 (again) lately and I really, really want some Tessa/Ros. I imagine Ros would have absolutely no patience for Tessa's greed but possibly would find a use for her ruthless lack of morals...

That idea of Tessa/Ros makes me grin like an idiot. Write it! \o/

I re-watched 2.05 the other day. BEST EPISODE EVAR. How had I forgotten how great Tom was? And I can totally see him and Lucas having worked together. I'd replace the middle three seasons of whiny-twat Adam with those two any day. Plus Ros and Zaf, of course. :D

lols you write it. I have enough things to write!

I remember series 4 Adam as being kind of awesome. Must rewatch that someday too...
