Annoying writing tics
- All my heroines (and they are ALL heroines) have to leave home in order for anything interesting to happen to them.
- They generally go to London. Even the scifistic locations end up looking and feeling like London.
- I write my stories inside out - I start in the middle, or near the end, backtrack in a long backstory exposition, backtrack even more in flashbacks, come back to the present, and only then limp forward.
- Forbidden love is My Thing. If only it wasn't quite so much my thing.
- Ending stories is hard. Beginning them is even harder. So I never resist a good segue into Season 2.
- Everybody spends a lot of time eating and talking. Mainly talking. After all, action sequences are boring.
- The only attractive kind of hero is small, lithe and basically blond.
- Swords. Swords, swords. If only I ever wrote action sequences.
- The tendency to revert into English. Meesa no speaken Finnish.
