The holidays approach-eth
I'm getting shitty at this regular updates thing...
An update on the last entry: I gave my notice. My last day at my apartment is scheduled for Jan 19th, 2009. I've started the hunt and will wrap it up shortly (I hope). While it's a huge inconvenience and all, I feel it was a moral victory. And that's all that matters to me.
Things with the job are going pretty good. I'm getting a new manager soon, so fingers crossed. This will be the first time without my current manager in almost the entire 3+ years I've worked here. Let's hope I can maintain some level of my position (and abilities/authority/recognition) with the new boss man (or in this case, lady). I'm choosing to embark with a positive attitude.
Things with the beau are pretty interesting as well. He got a car! Hooray! It's making things interesting, but better or worse remains to be seen. I'll have to give it some time. But he doesn't have to work tomorrow or Friday. Tomorrow we're going to have dinner with a great friend and her folks. I'm pretty excited. AND he's trying to talk me into taking Friday off too. I asked my manager, but I'm honestly a little on the fence. On the one hand there's a whole day, just he and I. On the other, there's insane OT money to be made. Sooooo...... But it might be moot if I don't get the day off anyway.
Now that Thanksgiving's underway though, I have to make preparations for the month os December. I'm fucked lol. We have the beau's 30th on Dec 2nd, the folk's anniversary on the 9th, Dad's birthday on the 16th, and then Christmas. I'm just skipping rent come January hahahaha
