Mari Wilson is an English singer who had her first hit single in 1982 and follow-up album in 1983. Her quirky early-1960s influenced songs and beehive hairdo lead to her to being dubbed the UK queen of retro-pop. Later music in the 1990s combined a mixture of classic Jazz standards with 60s songs and some original material. Her most recent album was released in 2008 (Beehive Label).
Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps was originally written in 1947 by Cuban songwriter Osvaldo Farrés. It was covered in the 50s by the likes of Nat King Cole and in the 60s by Doris Day, and a host of other singers. This version by Mari Wilson was used in the very funny British TV sitcom, Coupling.
