Last month I extended my text plan online so that come July I would have enough to last me the month. Apparently if you make changes to your account online it is impossible to future date it. That is where the scam lies. By changing my text plan on the 29th, it canceled my 250 message plan and lowered it to something like 150 messages...even though I had already paid the 5 dollars for the whole month. (Verizon bills a month ahead. Makes sense to not add new features until the next month, right?) Therefore, by having sent 239 messages I exceeded my plan and got charged $3.20. This is completely reasonable.. right? Exactly what I was trying to avoid by extending my text plan. After having been explained this by rep, I simply could not keep my cool. I lost my temper with a customer service rep for the first time. However I did get myself back together, apologized and just let it be. Then I thought about it...and called back. The next rep I got was a complete bitch. I asked for a supervisor, she said it was not necessary because she explained it and we didn't have a problem. I told her she was wrong and demanded a supervisor. Again, I calmed myself down and apologized. Then I asked for a credit, for the third time. Without any protest I was awarded my $3.20. Twice I had threatened to cancel my account, and twice the reps did not do a thing to help me. Verizon, I'd like to know the logic behind this. For the $3.20 that you swindled me out of you get to keep me as a customer. What does that mean for you? That means you will get thousands of my hard earned dollars over the course of my life, and all you have to do is give me back my $3.20 that didn't belong to you in the first place. Your business plan sucks. You'll spend millions of dollars on commercials just to take a single customer from AT&T, but you won't credit $3.20 to a customer you've had for 5 years in order to keep them? I may still switch plans when the time comes. This kind of bullshit has happened too many times to be acceptable. AT&T looks better and better every day...
