I was playing Fable the other day, and I noticed this achievement, the extremist. So I figured I'd just become 100% pure and get it real quick, no prob.
I reduce the rent on all my houses, and prices at my stands and stores, to the lowest amount, eat tons of vegetables in place of meat and alcohol, donate to the temple of light.. so forth. When I did all that I thought was possible, (including donating all of my 200,000 gold) I looked to see my progress. "I must be close!" I thought ...
.. but no .. to my great surprise, I had actually become more corrupt! All because I slept at an inn!
I checked the achievement again and realized that you could get it for being either 100% pure OR 100% corrupt. I thought, "Jeez if I had known that I would have just gone corrupt! It would have been so much easier!"
All that work, doing good deeds, helping people, donating to charity.. nada! It is so much harder to be pure than corrupt, yet I get the same reward for both! Being corrupt even gets me to it quicker! Plus I don't have to do a stupid jig every time some asshole's got a problem with me!
But isn't that just how it is?
