The Climb

Notre-Dame du Roc, Castellane, France

It took us merely 30 minutes to get to this spectacular view of Castellane!
Really worth the short climb.

I remember carrying the freshly baked, crumbling cream puff (pictured above) on one hand, and my trusty camera in the other, and I must say, it was the best tasting cream puff everrrrrr. The pastry was crusty on the outside, and soft as cotton on the inside. The cream was fresh, and the icing tasted like fairy dust- mild, light and just the right amount of sweet.

I was in pastry heaven.

The view and the cream puff were really my highlight of the hour, even though the destination was a quaint little chapel at the top of the cliff. You can see a little of the roof in the last photo. :)
