Birthdays Primus and Getting Old.
So we all went out to the Brandyhouse to see Liquid Jungle for Joey's birthday. I had never seen Liquid Jungle before and I honestly think its been about a year or so since I'd been at the Brandyhouse. Its closing next week, so I'm glad I got to go one last time. When I moved back to the ATL from college I went there A LOT. Its the end of an era. Thank God.
I was reminded tonight of a VERY POIVOTAL song I left off of my list yesterday..."Jerry Was A Race Car Driver" by Primus. How could I have left that off? Everytime I hear it I wanna break something. That's a good thing, btw. Liquid Jungle did a really decent cover of it tonight.
I can't go out and hang like I used to. I felt like Party Pooper Numero Uno tonight. It wasn't that I wasn't having fun...I was just really tired. It was the first time I"ve had a chance to go out and see live music in a really long time(not including going to see Matt and Mr. Weekend at the Hayloft in Helen). Its kind of nice having a weekend off and not having to be in Helen for rehearsals.
I'm really looking forward to Kelli's bday/NYE party in Athens next weekend. This time I'll try not to rip my toenail off...at least not so early in the night. Party on, Wayne...
