Baby, Baby, Baby...Bitch.

The Ween song referenced in my subject line has absolutely NOTHING to do with what I'm about to write, but I've been listening to Ween a lot today.

Had dinner with a good friend of mine whom I haven't seen in months. I adore her and I'd forgotten how much fun we have together. She's great. Found out an ex...erm...lover(!?) recently got married...to a Hari Krishna. And not a trustafarian, heady lot pamphlet passeroutter, but an honest to God Hari Krishna of Indian heritage. His family is Indian, but I'm faily certain that they aren't Hari Krishnas, but it was a traditional Hari Krishna wedding and he didn't warn anyone as to what to expect. Listening to her talk about how weird the whole thing was made my night. I wish I could have been there.

I've been having trouble developing this character I've been working on. I hadn't been able to pinpoint why until yesterday. She needs orthodontic headgear. I think that's the key to her essence. In my search for "fake" braces I stumbled upon two very interesting sites. Here are the links. I could expound upon them, but it might just be best if you read it for youself. Any snide or witty comments I might make wouldn't even being to skim the surface as to how weird and disturbing these links are. Needless to say, my next big purchase will be the $500 fake headgear. No, I'm not kidding...

Also, please see Paul Scheer's latest blog re: the DVD commentary for R. Kelly's Trapped in the Closet Chapters 1-12. This is the reason why I love Paul Scheer :) I'd decided months ago to get this DVD as soon as it came out. I will be holding a viewing party soon. Come prepared to laugh.
