Figured i'd update, I sure don't do that a lot ^^;; Um... so I've finally found my lab (relief relief relief!). I had sort of hoped to go into the biomedical part of this lab, however, it looks like i'll be doing development (at least for the meanwhile). Development is a lot cooler than I had expected. I am looking at mouse embryos which I embed in wax and then slice into 8 um thick slices, put them on slides, stain them, and take pictures of my sections. i might post a picture of a wild type mouse since that doesn't really give away my project but still shows some of my work. I knew from my time at the CDC that I love microscopy so this is something that I am happy doing. Sometimes my sections are wrinkly, so I'll have to get better at that but I'm doing alright for a beginner and like I said... fun times ^^
Classes are teh evil and I hate making Bs, but I'm having some trouble making an A (i'm right at the borderline between an A and a B in one of my classes and well I believe the saying goes 'B is for Biology and that's good enough for me' ; ; but I'd really like an A ^^;;; .
I've started cello again, because i've been a little depressed recently and cello is about the best outlet I know of for that. I've also decided that someone needs to write a concerto for accordion and orchestra (not me..... no time ><) as it's the freaking coolest instrument ever (even cooler than cello but not by much =P )
As for the rest of my life -_- wasted in video games... Kingdom Hearts II is tons of fun although I'm not as far along as Soranokumo or even Jaina I think. I still play XI... silly game that it is (sometimes I think it makes me more depressed than happy).
I think in the last e-mail from Tsadida there was some talk of everyone meeting up over the summer. I hope we do... I miss you peoples like crazy! Also Ekaterinn I miss you muchly so and you're never on AIM *pouts*.
Lol well I'll stop whining now and get back to taking pictures of sections. Fun fun ^^
