It was lame, but it was a trend in some catalogs. Something about capturing the consumer's fantasies through the storytelling. Or whatever. Meisa hadn't really paid attention to what her agency had said about current trends in the market. She just did her job.

She didn't understand what the photographer was thinking (nor was she sure she wanted to know), but it was clear that, whatever it was, Jun didn't think anything of it. Maybe it was just her then. Meisa didn't think anything more of it, even when the photographer did the staring eyebrow thing again with the photo Jun wanted for 'personal use'. It was a pretty awesome shot, for sure, she nodded in agreement with Jun.

"Beautiful, I like it as well. Not for catalog though." The photographer motioned for an assistant. "Arick! Mark this for Mister Jun to have." The rest of the shots with them running through the trees weren't suitable for catalog (but there were some gorgeous ones in there), Meisa could see the photographer's mouth turn deeper into a frown. Until they got to the set of shots with her and Jun walking back. "Love, love, love these! You two are so gorgeous together." There was a pause as the photographer's eyes flickered back and forth between her and Jun.

Deciding to ignore it, Meisa spotted the shot of Jun sweeping her off her feet and carrying her to the pile of leaves, a look of playful determination on his face. She on the other hand, had a bewildered smile on her face. It was also a shot that wouldn't have a place either of their portfolios, but with the sunset lighting and the way their profiles were highlighted, it was a beautiful, organic shot. "I want that one," she pointed, breaking the quiet, "A print of four-six." She grinned at Jun. "For personal use."

Jun caught the look again and this time it did seem a bit strange--the photographer loved the shots, neither he nor Meisa had asked for any of them for any reason...what was the look? Sweet Lord, Jun thought, don't let him be getting ideas for another shoot. He was about to whisper to Meisa when she spoke up about a beautiful shot of the two of them--that the photographer would certainly hate--and caught the photographer's look. He blinked at him before being drawn in by Meisa's grin. "You're a strange lady, Miss Meisa," he told her. "Wanting to remember getting dumped on your--" he couldn't say ass "backside."

"Arick, for Miss Meisa, please mark four-six!" The photographer was beaming at them.

Beaming.

Meisa.

"You're not allowed to ask for the one with the leaf on my face," he warned her. "I'll dine and dash on you and stick you with the check if you do." He'd never but he certainly could threaten.

"Fine." Meisa wrinkled her nose and stuck her tongue out at Jun when the photographer glanced away. "Spoilsport," she joked, schooling her face back into some semblance of professionalism when the photographer turned to look at them. She couldn't shake the feeling that he wanted to say something to the pair of them. It was, to say the least, slightly disconcerting.

"Last set! Fierceness after all the romance. It is strong! Passionate!" Here were the shots that would most likely get a spot in both her and Jun's portfolios. There was no doubt about it, the man knew how to take a gorgeous shot.

She shot a sly glance at Jun. The picture of the leaf smacking him in the face just popped up. It was a great candid shot. The deadpan expression on his face contrasted with the amusement on hers. Meisa wanted it. Really bad. But only because he said she wasn't allowed to ask for it.

Darn.

The shots were gorgeous, Jun could admit it. The clothes were gorgeous in the sunset light, they were posed just right that their faces--though fierce--were not distracting. They'd be good portfolio shots. He pointed at random. "That'll be good for the portfolio." He'd leave its inclusion up to the agency he worked with. Normally Jun was very attentive--when not worried about body parts falling off--to the proofs and in selecting shots. Today he just wanted to go get dinner.

He wasn't entirely sure, as he was constantly ravenous, but he thought it was getting beyond time to eat. He looked at Meisa, about to suggest rudeness, but was stopped by her face. She looked a bit like a pouty kid. He shook his head and pointed at the shot of the leaf on his face. "Personal again, but...this one," he said.

"For Mister--" the photographer began.

Jun held up a hand. "For Meisa." He gave her a mock glare. "Don't go telling all the other models that I gave you a present and took you to dinner. I don't want to get the reputation as 'that guy'."

"Arick, five-nineteen for Miss Meisa. And all the rest of the shots marked to be sent for review." The photographer was giving them funny looks again, but Meisa paid him no heed.

She broke out into a huge grin and reached up to pinch Jun's cheek playfully. "Don't worry, I wouldn't dream of it. This one is going up on my fridge next to my favorite one from last time." At least until she had time to buy a scrapbook to put it in. "The only one who'd probably see it is my sister anyways, no worries."

At that very moment, her stomach decided to let everyone know it was hungry with a large grumble. "Sorry," she said with a sheepish smile, "Guess I'm hungrier than I thought. May we leave?"

"Yes! Yes! We are done, you must eat!" The photographer shooed them away.
