Company this evening was less than pleasant, if only because the one person at his bar was some nerdy college kid that preferred to use the counter as a table for his laptop. The kid kept ordering tea and espressos rather than beer, so his paper was probably due tomorrow, but he kept scowling whenever Ryo slammed a refill on the counter. Was he expecting a "thank you for your patronage" or something? If Ryo wanted to serve coffee with a smile then he would've gotten a job at Starbucks. Ordering a water or ice tea because you can't handle your liquor Ryo could understand, but why in the hell would anyone think a club was a great place to finish anything that wasn't a drink?
"Roy~ I came back to see you~" Grimacing only slightly at the familiar voice, Ryo turned to greet the woman with as polite of a smile as he could muster. Normally, he didn't mind the attention he got from pretty women, but her voice was so irritating, so nasally, that it took all of his willpower to stop from ripping his ears off. She thought he was ~*~mysterious~*~ because he never replied to anything she said. Ha.
The student apparently didn't appreciate her voice anymore than Ryo did. He dropped his money on the counter, packed up, and offered Ryo a slightly sympathetic grin before he took off. With a resigned sigh, Ryo started pouring the woman her usual glass of 'classy' wine. At the very least, she tipped big.
