The Dalek who gets away at the end of Evolution of the Daleks is, in fact, Dalek Caan.

Ditto the person above. Then he went crazy after his emergency temporal shift or whatever (that was him, right? I get my "the last dalek EVAH! Really! We mean it this time!" moments confused) and saw all the timelines, and saw how bad the daleks were, and led the Doctor to destroy Davros in the fourth season.
