I really like this story. I've often wondered if the required "moving on after loss" is really about the person coping with the loss or because those around the person no longer want to be made uncomfortable and want everything to be normal again. Musings aside, your fic made me want to sniffle. In a good way of course.
Yeah, I wonder about that myself. I almost went a different route with this story; I almost had Mickey kind of snap at Rose about being so down about it and insist that it was time to move on, and then have her response be to channel her energy into finding a way back. But I don't know if I agree with that side of "moving on," and it didn't feel right for them. Anyway, thank you :) I'm glad you liked it.
