I am so sincerely grateful to my mom for flying me down to Texas. It was really special and wonderful to experience Sharee and her family in these early days of her first baby. So special. I love Sharee so much and am so glad to see her so happy and in her natural element. Sharee is this awesome mix of wysiwyg (what you see is what you get) and heart-wrenchingly thoughtful and loving. She doesn't blow sunshine... She tells you how it is. She also deeply loves her family and would do almost anything (and has) for them. She is one of those people that was born ready to have kids. She just "gets" the whole baby thing and has such strong family skills, it was just meant to be. We all honestly thought she'd probably be the first to get married and have babies, but in a mixed blessing kind of way (she's been through a lot), she was able to build the foundation of her own life before the right guy came along. I am so happy for her and Jonathan and am truly blessed to be close to them.
While I was in Texas, I was able to spend time with all of my siblings down there and my mom and her husband, Ed. It was the perfect trip. I got some heart-to-heart talking in with Mom and got to visit with Paul and see how big his kids have gotten and had some fun and laughs with Steff. Really, really awesome.
And, now, I'm home. Truly home. Seeing Tom waiting for me at the airport is always so incredible. He makes my heart stretch and fill. I love him so much. Seeing our "kids" (the animals) made me laugh and happy to be back. Watching the beautiful nature out the window of the plane and then in the car while Tom was driving us reminded me just how much I'm thankful to live in such a lush and God-filled, gorgeous place. I love my new home. And, I'm so happy to be here.
My heart is filled with love and hope for this year. I can't wait to dive back in! :)
