I just took Abby for a walk (that's one of my new fitness goals... again). We didn't go far, and we didn't go fast, but it was respectable for one of our first outings, and it was snowing, and there is about a foot of snow everywhere (including most of the street and all of the sidewalks). We walked up the street, and saw some kids sledding down the dead end hill part that hasn't been driven on. And, we walked up and around a few blocks to the (big) hill, turned, and walked up to the park. And, there we sat (okay, *I* sat - she wandered every direction she could at leash length :)) on a park bench, watching kids out of school on a snow day sled down the monstrous hill there, on trashbags and sled discs and sleds. It was so fun to just inhale the cold air and listen to the squeals as they flew down the slope, some on their bellies, others curled up on the sled, some falling off halfway down. I'm really glad I took the few minutes to go do that. It was a nice moment. I love my town. :)
