RotM 1.3 - Prompt Choices For Week of 4/16/2006
1. Write a first person ficlet that starts with the sentence:
“I know what you're thinking, but it wasn't my fault. Honestly Tegan, how many times must I tell you? The TARDIS has a mind of her own.” I counter the moment she opens her mouth. “YES Tegan, I am in fact programming the correct coordinates but she’s choosing to ignore them. I’m trying very hard here to get you back to Heathrow. It wasn’t my fault you wandered on board in the first place.”
“Hell’s Teeth, you practically kidnapped me Doc!”
“It’s hardly kidnapping if I DON’T know you’re on board. Besides, this is private property; you were trespassing in the first place, if you want to leave so badly then why did you stay on after we got back from Logopolis? We were on Earth then, you could have left without a fuss.” Childish I know, but I fold my arms across my chest and stare defiantly into the eyes of the fiery Australian air stewardess.
“I could hardly leave you there after you’d died.”
“Regenerated Tegan.”
“Regenerated, I’m not cold like the Master is.” I watch as she slowly begins to calm down again and looks outside through the scanner. “It looks quite nice out there actually Doctor.”
I smile and pull my hat from inside my coat. “Perhaps we could go out and have a look around. Then I’ll get you back to Heathrow.”
“On time?”
“Yes Tegan, on time.”
“You promise?”
“I’ll do my best.”
