So I just got home from an absolutely wonderful weekend with the girls. I went with Connie, her daughter Nikki, and Justin's mom Cyndi. All of them I met when I was on my dance team about six or seven years ago. We went out Friday night when we got there at like 11:30 and we went to this place called Flashbacks. It is an old people club I figured out, they play oldies music and beach music, and my parents would have really loved it because they shag there (the dance not something else). Well there was a band, Tommy Black and the Blooz. Well Tommy Black used to teach at South View and he was Nikki's teacher in high school. So we thought that was super crazy. Then we went back to Connie's aunts condo to sleep for the night because our hotel wasn't ready yet. Saturday we checked into our hotel and were going to go on the beach but it was cloudy and had started sprinkling. Which sucked! So we went shopping instead, tax free weekend. We went to Barefoot landing and ate at Jonny Rockets which is like a fifties or sixties diner place. Well the waiter was absolutely adorable (blonde hair baby blue eyes) and by the time we left he thought we were crazy. It was fun. Then we went back to the hotel and gave each other facials (the normal girls weekend stuff) and went out to find somewhere to party. We wanted to dance. So we found this little sports pub thing that had karyoke and we were super excited (cyndi sings). So we went and had a good time we were dancing and Cyndi was singing. Well they got me to put in a song "Suds in the Bucket" by Sara Evans and when I got up there (I was feeling confident that night) I belted the song out and by the end everyone was very shocked and were like Where was that hiding. Cyndi said she was very proud of me, she said "Tears, there were tears, my mascara is running". I was very surprised because no one has ever said that about my singing. They shut the karyoke down shortly after that so we left in search of something else, because I am under 21 we really couldn't get in anywhere so we went back to Flashbacks which is fun for a little while, because old people are fun when you watch them try to dance lol. Today we got up and had to get ready to check out of the hotel but still wanted to go to the beach so we went to the condo where Cyndi has a timeshare and signed ourselves in so we could use their showers and parking lot. We were on the beach for about two hours and the wind picked up like crazy and the rain poured in from both directions. It was the coolest thing ever, I have never actually seen the rain coming except for once, it was very awesome looking to see a wall of rain coming at you in both directions. So after showers we are on our way and we decide to go shopping some more. Well after being impressed completely with the hamburger Connie ate at Jonny Rockets she decided she wanted another. Well our cute waiter was there, not serving us, but he was scared to make eye contact and we were highly amused. Then we rode back home and I was very excited to be home so I could sleep but very upset because now I'm not at the beach *sob sob*. I love the beach. Well going to lay down now, very pooped after this weekend.
