Scared

So I haven't written in a while but I really needed to get this out and I felt this would be the place to put it. I went to work last night as usual and I was working as the closing office which meant I would be there until 12. I was suspecting of a guy in the store, I thought he was shoplifting. He had been in our store every night for the past couple of days and he never bought anything. I had tried to keep an eye on him but I was very busy with the office stuff I had to do. About thirty minutes after he came in I noticed him looking into the backroom like he was looking for another exit door. That is when I decided I was going to have someone watch him. After we found empty pakages in the bathroom my manager called the cops. We were just waiting for them to arrive so they could search him. When they arrived they cornered him and searched him, they didn't find any of the products on him but they did find a gun. When they pulled it out it looked just like a 9mm pistol but it was a stun gun. I have heard of people being robbed at other stores but it was never real until last night. I was scared. He wasn't just looking in the backroom for another exit, he was looking for somewhere to hide so he could come out after we closed and rob us. That is a very scary thought and I just didn't know what to think. The cop said that the type of stun gun he had was stronger than the one issued to police men. If he had shot me it would have sent me back about 20 feet and knocked me unconsious. Plus it looked like a real pistol and had he put it up to me I would have thought it was real. I am really blessed that this didn't happen. I am very thankful that my instincts told me there was something wrong with this guy. Just a little thought to go through the day with. I never considered my job dangerous until now.
