[Several minutes after Motochika's post, Mitsuhide enter the living room with an expression somewhere between amusement and exasperation. His hair is up in a high ponytail today.]

[He shakes his head, but smiles afterwards.]

[There is the same picnic basket from their first venture into their clearing sat upon the coffee table, already packed; Motochika's bachi is already tucked into his obi.

When Mitsuhide enters, Motochika takes hold of his shamisen and stands. He smiles warmly.]

Mitsuhide. There is nothing wrong with giving your friends opportunity to fuss over you.

[He braces his shamisen over his shoulder, then places his SFC inside his top, where the support of his obi lends the necessary structure to keep it safe. After, he moves closer.]

I am glad to celebrate the fact that you were born.

Had they known, others would desire to do the same.

[Mitsuhide folds his hands before him, bows his head slightly and says, formally:]

[His tone becomes more casual again. There is undisguised warmth in it.]

You know I am not one to go out of my way to invite attention to myself, Lord Motochika. But I will not oppose this.

[The tradition of celebrating birthdays is something he'd never experienced prior to Vatheon, but there is something rather pleasant about the idea of celebrating the births of those you care for. Mitsuhide's gaze flickers to the picnic basket.]

[Motochika moves to pick up the basket, slipping his free arm through the handle and sliding it along to sit at the crook of his elbow.]
