How long will this silence endure? Such highly visible problems demand presence. We see the states of the ocean and barrier grow worse with every passing day, no clear end in sight.
It is little wonder that there are those amongst us who wish to claim leadership.
[A pause.]I have been in Vatheon for one month now. The thought feels strange.

The current state of the water is... worrying.

If this continues, then it cannot be long before it directly affects us.

True. However what should our next action be? Without information we cannot solve this mystery.

Still, you sound uncertain. What do you find is difficult, half a year on?

Ahh... and in response to your question... I've been here for about two weeks or so.

Not long, then. How are you adjusting to Vatheon?

Well, I suppose. There are still things that I don't understand, but for the most part I'm used to daily activity and whatnot. Though, a cup of tea would be nice right now...

Vatheon is mysterious by nature. A woman who has been here half a year has no better idea of it than us.
It should not be hard to locate one. What is rare are the appropriate ceremonies.

I thought that we had a leader here...I have heard the name Alpha..is he not the leader?

The Head Priestess is the true leader of Vatheon. Yet there has been recent talk of choosing a... 'mayor' within our numbers. It's little more than a childish contest for attention. I would not pay it any real mind.

The Head Priestess...I don't believe I ever met her. Oh yes I remember. I helped my friend make up posters for it. Its something fun that she wants to do, and I don't see any problems with it.

I have not, either. She is hard to find.
There is nothing wrong with it -- until you consider that they wish to impose leadership upon us. Instead of structuring a system of governing that anticipates and meets our needs and devising way to enforce that order, they play a game. Responsibility should not be taken lightly. A leader must be capable, not simply likeable.
But do not let me dampen your enjoyment, Kagome. Have fun with the process. I merely refuse to abide by the results.

It's an alright place. I do miss the sky sometimes and real air at that, but ... I'm not dead. I'm well fed. I have my art. They'll send me home one day, I like to hope, so ... I just wait.

That approach takes considerable patience and faith. [it's said neither as a compliment, nor a reproach -- but perhaps with a hint of challenge.] But you are right that we have been afforded comforts. It could have been far worse a situation.
