Rei was waiting at their meeting spot. Usually if Masao wasn't out there by a certain time he'd walk to school by himself, but he saw Masao coming and frowned at his expression. His stepdad couldn't of done anything it was too early he'd be sleeping. He'd find out though.

Masao stopped briefly next to Rei. He didn't speak. Instead, the boy looked at his friend with somewhat pleading eyes. He still felt guilty of something.

Rei felt his heart stop for a second and found himself grabbing Masao by the shoulders. "What did you do? Do I need to help you clean up something?"

Rei's reaction only made Masao panic even more. "Clean up? But I didn't do anything! It couldn't have been anything I did! I swear! But it was all my fucking fault! I didn't mean too."

"Oh my god dude what the hell did you do?" Rei yelled panicking even more. Did Masao finally....well...you know..and Kira. "Are you stupid? Does anyone else know? We got to get rid of the evidence, take your shoes off we got to burn them." Blood could travel far Rei knew that much."

Masao looked down at his shoes at Rei's mention of them. Things were moving in slow motion now. He was trying to clear things up in his mind. Rei knew something he didn't...

Masao groaned at his throbbing head. He placed one hand up to his temple, scrunching his face at the head ache. Nothing made sense to him anymore.

Seeing Masao look sort of confused and sick Rei took a calming breath. If Masao really did something to Kira Rei was sure he'd call him right then and there for help, this was obviously becoming a huge misunderingstanding but he had to make sure.

"Masao I'm confused. Did you or did you not kill Kira?"

"Kill...Kira?" Masao spoke it quietly. He didn't like the filling of the words on his tongue. "I didn't...kill...Kira..." Each word he said slowly.

"Oh." Rei said with a huge sigh of relief. "So what did you do?" he asked but assumed it was just the usual and Masao was going through another guilt trip. This was an ongoing thing but he never seen Masao so slummed.

"You know I think you and Kira should run away together. I know the moneys tight with your addictions to mend to but I can help you guys get some extra money, Kira could do all the work. If both of you were financial able to leave your parents I think you both would do better."

"Run away?" Masao repeated. HE had actually never thought of leaving before. "I couldn't. He would find me. I know he would."
