I expected to be certain of what I want to study by the end of my freshman year. But that is entirely wrong. As of right now I am a Government & Politics major. I intend to stick with the major because I've made good progress in fulfilling my major requirements and I feel that government is a fairly secure route to take. I fully expect to pick up a double major and this is where the confusion comes from. Thus far I've taken anthropology, spanish, and art history classes and have completely enjoyed all of them. I can't have four majors so, dilemma. Next semester I'm not taking any of those classes but I'm taking a psychology class. I would consider doubling in psych, but you have to take Bio and that is a very easy no for me. I intend to take a fair amount of psych classes anyway because I really enjoy the subject. Arthist looks very appealing to me but i will have a significant amount of catching up to do if I don't take an ARTH class next semester. I think that I will probably minor in Spanish regardless which will be a great complement to government, so that seems logical. And i know that i love anth but the class i took this semester wasn't fantastic but i expect to give it another try. I'll have the summer to decide but right now I'm really confused. School means a lot to me and being able to take charge of my choices has always something that I prefer. I don't want to be playing catch up. Fortunately, my academic plan indicates that I'm graduating a semester early so I can just extend that for the full year. It looks like GVPT and Spanish minor so far, but what about the double major? What to do.. what to do?
