Rise.
Urgh my sister has some of her friends over and neglected to tell me she was inviting them. I don't actually mind all that much but its the fact she just doesn't inform me of her plans. Another reason why I cannot wait to move out, she can't annoy me anymore XD
So it honestly took me until like a week or two ago to get really excited about the new Batman film. I count the other two amongst my favourite films, but for some reason, I just wasn't feeling it this time. But being in the cinema quite a lot for various other superhero films and being bombarded with trailers whilst seeing those other films, I was suddenly so desperate to see it. Then I sat for a large chunk of the day online, reading about the shooting in Colorado at the midnight showing. I was in a really weird mood and thought that thinking about all those people might somehow have an affect on my film experience.
However, I got lost in the film pretty quickly. I was sad at how broken Bruce was at the start and I loved the first exchange between him and Selina. Totally jumped when he fired that arrow at her XD
Bane was terrifying. His voice was a little weird at times, but he was just this really stoic baddie and often they are worse to me than the ones that are clearly off their rockers like the Joker. He just seemed utterly unstoppable, especially with his army of stupidly loyal League of Shadows types.
The only thing that I was a little uncomfortable with was the scene in the stock exchange. Apparently the shooter in the Aurora cinema started his attack during a scene with shooting and since it was full of people it felt a little close.
The sequence with Blake chasing after the two guys who were sent to kill Commissioner Gordon...OMFG, I thought I was gonna barf. SO TENSE. But of course, he pwned them! 8DD
Random people noticed in the film were the guy who plays Will in Criminal Minds and Shawn from National Treasure XD Also it took me til I was lying in my bed last night but I suddenly realised where I knew the CIA guy at the start from...Game of Thrones! And I haven't even watched that! Littlefinger is it he plays? Also, the guy who shows Alfred to his seat at the end is an English actor who is in that BBC show, Benidorm XD
Also! Cilliaaaan! Omg! That was so amazing to have ol' Scarecrow be the judge in the court! :D I loved all the stuff abou the pit and Bane and Talia's origins. After reading the rumour months ago about Marion playing Talia and then it all being denied, I was waiting to see if it was her, but I sort of didn't expect her to be the kid from the prison in a way. Like it took me a minute to catch up with all of that because everyone, including Bruce had assumed it was Bane.
I started to get a bit weepy when Batsy basically told Gordon who he was. *sniffs* I fucking love Commissioner Gordon.
Kate and I officially lost our shit at the end. I honestly thought that when Blake mentioned his legal name, he was going to say it was Dick Grayson, but Robin was enough for us to grab onto each other XD I totally called them killing Bruce Wayne. I had suspected they might do that with the end of the trilogy. Whilst its not completely true, they did 'kill' Bruce. And omfg, wasn't that sad until Alfred was crying in front of the graves. UGLY CREYS IN THE CINEMA. And then Lucius and the guys talking about teh auto pilot and then Alfie in Florence and EEEEE BLAKE FINDING THE BAT CAVE. Such a perfect end to the trilogy. ALL THE FEELS.
