Just back from the opticians. I really love him and I'm going to miss him when he retires. He's only working a couple of days a week now and the new guy will be taking over his practice within a couple of months I think. He's such an interesting man. He always has a story to tell me. Every time I go there I leave in a better mood. He was talking about my vision and got me to read a 4m line which he said is really hard for people even with their glasses. I got one letter wrong but he told me well done. He called me Hawkeye today which he had done before, but since I have been ODing on Avengers stuff for weeks now I had to contain my giggles XD I'll take a superhero archer name any day :D
My prescription hasn't changed despite me feeling a bit different. Its almost like I just needed the confirmation from him that my eyes are okay. He was telling me as you get older your eyes shorten and that means my sight could technically get better! Very interesting! He said the back of my eyes were beautiful :3 Am I a dork for taking that as a compliment? Hehe!
The weather is pretty bad this morning, but I'm at a loss at the papers and news saying its going to be the worst weather for 15 years. Its the tail end of hurricane Katia and the winds are predicted at 80mph. Eh, what happened to the 100mph winds a couple of months ago that ripped up the trees and had roof slates smashing cars? I guess its maybe because the weather only hit Scotland the last time and the high winds and bad rain is going to affect more of the UK. Either way I don't want to have to leave the house again for work :(
