you know that your life has reached that point (that one, the indescribable one that everyone talks about) when you find yourself listening to N'Sync of your own free will and singing along.
thank god i haven't started singing along....
maybe those are thoughts that i should keep to myself, eh?
in recent news it's like days of our lives out at the barn, but i don't let it get me down. damn the man! or, in our case, damn the woman who is without a conscience! other than that though it's all good. putting all the horses in a program, working a lot, you know how we do.
i have just returned from orientation up at good old carolina. is it just me or does it seem quite fruitless to make this enormous effort to bond with people that i might not even see at all next year? i figured that i would save the assertive efforts for when i'm actually in class or have some sort of routine, so that the people that i make friends i will actually see day to day. i would also like to say that i set myself up with quite the kick ass schedule:
MWF 9-10 - journalism, the world of mass communication
MWF 11-12- spanish 3 (i'm going to die, but whatev.)
M 2-4 30- freshman seminar, sociology: the advocacy explosion
TTH 8-9- english, intro to fiction
TTH 2-3- anthropology, moral consciousness
F 3-4- extra recitation for the anthropology class (yay for big lectures)
speaking of north carolina, i was quite shocked that ryan came up, met my family, and didn't go off running in the other direction. kid keeps gaining brownie points like crazy.
so i get to see max tonight. i never see max anymore. i'm paying for his dinner, and i can't quite figure out how that happened, but there it is.
i am now the proud owner of slc punk! damn, how i love that movie. sooo good. if you haven't seen it, you should. and rent run, lola, run while you're at it. for some reason they go quite well together. or maybe they don't, but they remind me of the same time period in my life, so i just mix them together. at any rate, both good movies. watch them.
and i'm spent.
