(no subject)
i am in dire need of some help.
how do i get an image as my backround for my journal?
i've tried unsucessfully, and it's quite frustrating, because it is my fav picture of marilyn monroe and i like it quite a bit.
so alie has reminded me that i haven't updated in a while. so here goes.
holiday vacation was so refreshing. first of all, it was a perfect followup to the hellish torture of concerts and shopping and schoolwork and the show and people and everything else that was making my life hectic. gift exchange with the crew was quite fun and interesting. tblake got me a mr/ tarsoly costume, equipt with tie and groucho marx glasses/stach. i can't wait to wear it in theory :)
alie got me this calender of 50's pinup girls, which i love. they are goregeous and i wish i could live in that era. anna and julie both gave me beautiful earrings, and julie also gave me a homemade photoframe with a picture of the alto3's from halloween. everyone looks really good in it. and, she gave me an awesome framed pic of marilyn, which is my second fav of her, and hanging up in my room. lastly, marias present. a candy g-string. all i can say is that it will probably stay in the back of my panty drawer, until i desparately need candy. or until i get the urge to put it on my head.
matt and his family's gifts were by far the best. i got a live dvd of norah jones. be jealous. and some books and a barnes and nobles gift card, so i plan on spending way too much time at home reading, which is awesome. plus, his parents got me this ammazingly soft throw blanket that i carry around like linus. <3
and sweetie, im really sad the chair already ripped. but i love you anyway :)
christmas eve is spent at my aunt's house, a big italian dinner with lobster and pasta. note, i am not italian. oh well. i had an amazing time with my family, and especially with one boy, who scored quite a few points.
good christmas too, we really put a lot into my moms gifts this year, and she loved them. more awesome presents for me. lol.
what else happened during vacation? brokeback mountain was interesting, loved couple's night.
the cup was so much fun, too. so happy i got to see everyone.
new years was some night. despite an unfortunate episode of drama, i had a really good time. mostly because i got to spend it with my favorite, who is the most amazing and understanding person i know. it was great to get to see so many people who i don't really spend time with, like sarah and megan and alex and diana. awesome kids.
and even though its schooltime again, i'm actually enjoying it. for now.
all i really have time for is to catch up, so i'll leave you at that. hopefully i'll have another entry coming soon. love you all.
