Summer 07
The middle of summer has come so fast. I'm back from Quebec where I had a great time practicing all day. It was really pretty up there, and the focus was more on individual performance than on chamber music so that was nice. I studied with Robert Spring and now I can single tongue at like a million haha. And the circular breathing and double tonguing thing, which is not as hard as people think, but a lot less useful than it sounds.
I think I ordered the wrong JeanJean studies just now. You know the famous one that everyone has... I don't know which one that is apparently there are like 4 different ones, and the Ebel guy was confused when I didn't know which one I wanted. Oops.
I decided not to go to Idyllwild because I got a scholarship to a festival in Washington State. I figured a guaranteed cool chamber music festival would be cooler than the possibility of having to do a wind band for 2 weeks. That would be like starting school 2 weeks early. eww wind band.
