Elliot Nightray .
Humpty Dumpty...
Elliot will be coming from right before the "Second Coming of Age Ceremony". He is determined to ironically catch the HeadHunter and does not know that he is an Illegal Contractor yet.
Personality: Elliot Nightray is a noble, the last heir to the Dukedom of the Nightray family. Ever since he was young, he's been raised to know of his status and the difference between himself and others; a fact proven when he comments to Leo at their meeting about being a noble and enforced when his elder siblings caution him against his new brothers, Vincent and Gilbert. As the last heir to the family, Elliot is determined to prove himself to the family. Gilbert was the one to contract the chain Raven, but Elliot is more focused on maintaining the family's honor in his own way, without a chain. As a result, he is an adept swordsmen.
Being a noble also contributes to a certain amount of pride. Elliot is originally the very image stereotyped for a Nightray family member; he is not fond of Oz, whose family is stereotyped as an enemy to the Nightrays. It disgusts him when Ada, Oz's sister, calls him by his name. When meeting Leo for the first time, Elliot expects the other boy to immediately respect him because he is a noble. However, this attitude begins to bend ever so slightly as the series progresses; at least enough that Elliot decides to "judge with his own eyes" and not be influenced by stereotypes. Elliot's pride seems to focus more on his family pride than anything. Most of the time, he tries to uphold the family honor--- such as when he scolds Gilbert.
The strongest of his personality traits, though, is definitely Elliot's anger. He is very easy to anger and has quite a few triggers. And his anger is loud. Largely because Elliot is quite opinionated and prone to trying to shove his strong opinions at other people. When Elliot finds his views in conflict with someone else, there is very little holding him back. He will say what is on his mind almost without any hesitation and is generally very blunt about it.
This is why his friend and personal valet, Leo, is so important to him. Though Elliot can sometimes tell if he has gone too far, Leo is there to remind him if his anger gets too far out of line. However, Leo mentions that he will only scold Elliot if Elliot himself doesn't realize he needs scolding. This is because Leo, and Elliot, both know that his objective is rarely to hurt people. It's to help them. Even with his scolding Oz and yelling at him over and over, Elliot was just trying to get Oz to realize how his self-sacrificing attitude hurt people. Though, when people make note of this, Elliot will violently deny it; he is a bit tsundere in this manner.
On the note of Oz, their interactions bring up one of Elliot's strongest beliefs. He absolutely hates it when people think that sacrificing themselves helps others, because to Elliot, this sort of thing only places the burden on your friends and loved ones and is a cowardly move. He sees "self-sacrifice" as more of a way to protect yourself, and believes strongly that people should try their hardest to keep living rather than giving up on life. So if you fit the description, he'll probably have a bone to pick with you.
But anger isn't all that there is to Elliot. In truth, he is a caring person. He is capable of being strong, gentle, and dependable, as noted by Ada. For one, it's not like he looks for trouble. When Elliot first met Oz, he was trying to have a normal conversation about a novel. The problem there was just that Elliot is too opinionated for his own good. But when he realized he was wrong, Elliot did apologize (and throw an insult in there too, but he was trying!). When faced with his death, Elliot chose to take his own life rather than burden a friend with the weight of killing him. These are just two good examples of how Elliot truly does care about people. He just has trouble caring with his bad temper. Not to mention that Elliot feels he is "tough" and gets embarrassed when people comment on his kindness.
He also isn't the type of guy to just turn a blind eye to another person's problem. Elliot values courage, for the Nightray house and himself. He does not believe in running away from problems, but in accepting them and trying to move on in a strong manner. It is this bravery that causes Elliot to stay back to help Oz, even when Oz tries to convince Elliot to run away, and it is this bravery that ultimately leads Elliot to accept all of the truth he has been ignoring and die along with Humpty Dumpty.
As parting remarks, Elliot likes piano and reading. He reads a series called the "Holy Knight" series, which Oz also read. Elliot's favorite character is "Edwyn", because Edwyn lives a "prideful life", which Elliot apparently values. In the Anime's 7th Omake, Elliot is shown to be quite the geek for the series and gets very excited about it.
When it comes to the piano, he isn't ashamed of his talent and typically writes his own music. But he isn't the type to brag about his music either, and would sooner brush it off than carry on a conversation about his piano playing. However, he has enough pride in his writing that Humpty Dumpty erases Elliot's memory of getting help from Leo on one of his music pieces ("Lacie").
Piano also seems to be something he uses to show respect, though; he gives a song to Leo, and was planning to write a song as a birthday gift. So if he willingly plays for you or writes you a song, it's meant to show you respect.
Abilities: Elliot is seemingly a normal person whose greatest talents are playing the piano, composing music, and sword fighting. But the reality is quite different. Elliot is secretly contracted to a "chain" called Humpty Dumpty. His chain has the ability to manipulate his memories so that Elliot does not remember anything that would otherwise bother him--- ranging from forgetting that Leo helped him compose a particular piece to forgetting the fact he murdered his siblings, and forgetting that he ever contracted Humpty Dumpty. Humpty Dumpty is also fiercely protective of Elliot's personal servant, Leo, and causes Elliot to lash out whenever Leo is in danger. In order to protect Elliot from the guilt of his actions, Humpty Dumpty beheads his victims so that the crime can be blamed on the "Head Hunter". While most of the Humpty Dumpty attacks are triggered when Leo is in danger, Humpty Dumpty can also reacts to Elliot's personal hatred, as seen when one of his murder rampages didn't end with the targets threatening Leo, but continued on because Elliot was so upset about it.
In Mayfield, Humpty Dumpty will likely remain inactive unless Leo is applied and threatened in some way, or if scenarios ever imply that Leo may be put in danger in the future.

Musebox-------- Mayfield-specific Sample
[ It's been a while since Elliot settled into his new Mayfield life. He is far from impressed with having to use someone else's last name and has been signing all of his papers at school with "Nightray". Naturally, some of the drone kids have been bugging him about it. ]
Tch. I've about had it with those brats. Are all of the drones here as annoying as them? My last name shouldn't be such a big deal to them. 'not like it concerns them, since no one here knows how to treat a noble anyway... Doesn't bother me that they're always acting like I'm stupid for writing the "wrong name" as much as the fact they keep coming to comment when I'm trying to read. And this family is even worse... is there anywhere in this dumb town where I can read a frickin book in peace?
