(no subject)
I was invited to a "semi" (semiformal) being held in a semi-big venue by a semi-friend of mine. A guy, actually, who is incredibly sweet and cute and funny, and who has always been very friendly to me. For him alone, I want to go, because he seemed like he really wanted me to, but I realized I have literally no one to go with. Everyone who knows this crowd is away at camp. When I said, "Sure! I'll see if anyone wants to go," I was completely disillusioning myself and others. If I go to this thing, I'll be going alone or I'll bring my brother, or someone equally as uncalled-for. Oy oy oy.
Speaking of uncalled-for... I woke up this morning (er, afternoon) to the news that my grandparents were coming over for a visit, which I'd had no idea about. It's very important for me to know in advance about summer events because I tend to let my personal hygiene go a little lax in the summer. Don't worry, I do nothing but sit around all day so I don't get dirty, I just, you know, let my hair get a little nasty and my eyeliner a little crusty. So I like to know about things like grandparents visiting beforehand, if possible. Urgh.
Company closed yesterday! I think I've died. Cannot wait for the PBS broadcast/DVD, though. Will def be buying.. or maybe just taping it.
