Thank you for this! I didn't think to look before because there was so much else going on, but now I can tell there's sort of a cantrip on each page that you can activate. I wouldn't have thought of that before.

I take it these journals never run out of pages? They're a really great idea! I had no idea there was a way to just talk to people by writing in a book.

I don't know what a cantrip is! But I don't know whatever the thing that works on the journals is actually called, either, just that it - locks things! And works!

Uh. I dunno? I don't think they do? You might want to ask someone who knows more than me! But it is really neat how we can just talk out of books, yeah!

A cantrip's like a little magic spell. It's sealed inside the pages, and it's already primed to work, so you can activate it with just a little thought.

I see a lot of people drawing them in the journals. [draws one with little sun rays coming out of it] I would never have thought of it before, but I guess it makes sense because you can't smile at someone directly.

And thank you! [Have another smile too.] Yes, that's what it means. They're sort of like this. [draws a picture of an iris] But I don't really look like that. [draws a small doodle of herself next to it, but it looks mostly like a stick-figure girl holding a staff]

Yeah! yours is like a TRex!!

No, I don't mind! Except when the wings were coming out (it freaked me out, totally, and I like pretended it never happened for a while) it doesn't really feel like much! Except if someone's hurt, then I can feel it, and if I try to heal them, then I really feel it!

Are you an angel? Or a wanderer? Or demon or something else?

I'm a wanderer, not an angel or demon. But I can heal people, too. Although not the way you probably do. I make potions and things.

I wish I could heal people just by touching them! That would be great. I'd help a lot of people that way. It's be like a direct way of doing what I already do.

Yeah, I guess it's kind of nice. But magic needs you to be more smarter! And also I'm guessing it doesn't, like, hurt you, either.

Yeah, it's exactly magic! But what you can do sounds like magic too....

Does it hurt? I suppose it hurts me a little, but only when I'm not careful and get my hands in the fire. It doesn't hurt usually.

It does hurt! Depending on what I'm healing! Bigger hurts hurt - well, yeah, bigger!

I'm glad it doesn't hurt you. But my hurting doesn't last too long! And it's very worth it when you can heal people.

Yeah, it is. It's always worth it. If no one ever let themselves be hurt for anyone else's sake, the world would be a lot worse of a place.

You sound like a wonderful kind person. I'm glad there are people like you to help people. And I'm sure the world is glad to have you too! So don't forget that ever, okay?

You sound wonderful, too! And don't you forget it, either! I mean, my healing is kind of a calling and so it makes sense for me to do it, but it's not exactly a choice, completely, and it sounds like you make the choice and put in the work and--
