I am the Passenger
So today I started reading Supernatural meta...and I'm already in over my head. Seriously. I sat in front of my computer (or my computer sat in front of me...whichever) with my mouth hanging open going both "huh" (as in...never thought of it that way) and "huh?" (as in...WTF?). The stuff makes sense...but I don't think I ever could have come up with it. Makes a girl feel unintelligent.
I did, however, find one meta entitled Bedtime Stories: The Grimm Tale by hearseeno that I may have actually followed fairly well. Could just be my not so old obsession with fairy tales that made it easier. Anyway...I think I grasped it and was able to offer my own spin off of it. I posted a comment anyway. We'll see if it makes sense.
All the meta makes me want to develop a structure for my own analysis. I have four years worth of Sociology/Research Methods bouncing around in my head unused and I'm itching to make up code sheets. Problem is...I'd have to start from the very beginning (Season 1 Episode 1). I'm just like that. But you don't see many season 1 metas popping up now...unless it's in comparison to current episodes...and even then season 2 is more likely to pop up. So I dunno. Are people no longer interested in season 1 metas? Has everything already been explored and I shouldn't attempt it at all?
I guess it really doesn't matter yet though, because I'm indecisive on what I'd like to explore. And like I said before, my intelligence feels severely inadequate when I read some of these other posts. I generally don't care what other people think...but I also don't like to be laughed at. So we'll see what happens.
