Here's my list of Teen Wolf recommendations. Organized by pairing (or lack-of) and in alphabetical order. Some with my own notes, some without.
Derek/Stiles
And We'll Be Complicated by ingberry RATING: NC-17 WORD COUNT: 18,565 SUMMARY: "Stiles already had his hands full with the case he was working on for the enigmatic Mrs. B. He really didn't need this too, but there was no changing the fact that he no longer remembered Derek Hale or anything connected to him. And no one could figure out why." MY NOTES: The one where Stiles lives in a magic house and forgets everything about Derek.
By Any Other Name by
entangled_now RATING: NC-17 WORD COUNT: 33,090 SUMMARY: "He doesn't know his name, he doesn't know who he is, and neither does the werewolf he's on the run with. But he's pretty sure they hunt monsters, because they seem to be really good at it." MY NOTES: I love how this is almost an AU without actually being an AU.
can't be hateful, gotta be grateful by HalfFizzbin RATING: PG-13 WORD COUNT: 6,260 SUMMARY: ""Be cool, Dad, we've decided to con Grandma." (Or, the one where the Stilinski men drag Derek to Thanksgiving dinner at Grandma's and she gets the right wrong idea.)" MY NOTES: There's not a lot of Thanksgiving!fic out there, so this one gets extra points!
Don't Speak by fatale RATING: PG-13 WORD COUNT: 68,941 SUMMARY: "The Alpha pack has been systematically attacking Stiles and his friends for months, testing their strengths and weaknesses. When one of the Alphas goes after Stiles and he's injured, he awakens in the hospital later to realize that something's wrong. Very wrong. How is he supposed to deal with the fact that he's lost the ability to communicate with his dad and his friends? Without his ability to talk, his sarcasm, and his wit, what does Stiles even have left? Enter Derek, the only one who seems to make it better." MY NOTES: My favorite part about this fic is just the Stiles characterization. For a fic that's mainly about a mute!Stiles, the Stiles voice is AMAZING.
Hide of a Life War by Etharei RATING: NC-17 WORD COUNT: 26,102 SUMMARY: "“We have received confirmation that there is a hostage situation in progress at a warehouse compound two hours out of Los Angeles, following a multiple-vehicle pileup on Highway 101 this morning...” The one in which Stiles has lived to (legal) adulthood and, along the way, become a bit of a badass himself."
The Littlest Alpha by trieduntrue RATING: NC-17 WORD COUNT: 52,508 SUMMARY: "Derek and Stiles have taken out the Alpha Pack and pretty much saved the world. Okay, the town. Okay, their remaining friends. But the Alphas left something behind: a baby. And this baby is an Alpha too. Derek is determined to take care of the abandoned child, and Stiles is stuck going along for the ride. But Stiles doesn't expect the ride to include seeing another side of Derek, or to find another way to say "family.""
Lock All The Doors Behind You by
entangled_now RATING: R WORD COUNT: 25,960 SUMMARY: "He has no idea what you're supposed to say when you find one of your...werewolf acquaintances, completely out of their mind, growling like they're about to see what your insides taste like. There's no handbook for this. Stiles is thinking that if he survives he might write one."
Of Wolves and Doughnuts by Hatteress RATING: PG-13 WORD COUNT: 22,340 SUMMARY: "When Derek was fifteen, circumstance and a goddamn doughnut had seen fit to Bond him to Stiles Stilinski. In which Derek is more cunning than anyone gives him credit for, Stiles doesn't understand why the new Alphas in town are all up in his business and everyone gets a violent crash-course in what it means to be Pack, whether they're in it or not. MY NOTES: Bondmates are my favorite.
(Sacred) In the Ordinary by idyll RATING: NC-17 WORD COUNT: 78,759 SUMMARY: "The Pack, after college, graduate school and the starting of careers, comes back to Beacon Hills. Nothing's gotten less complicated after all this time." MY NOTES: I almost exclusively read future fic in this fandom and this is one of the finest. And it's nice and LONG. Definitely love the slow-build Derek/Stiles and all the wolf pack snuggles.
Stand Fast in Your Enchantments by DevilDoll and Rahciach RATING: NC-17 WORD COUNT: 76,956 SUMMARY: ""Stiles knew damn well what a pissed-off wolf sounded like, and every hair on the back of his neck was telling him that somewhere in this room was a very pissed-off werewolf." An AU in which Derek is feral, Stiles is magical, and they eat a lot of fast food." MY NOTES: The combination of feral!Derek and magical!Stiles is probably my favorite trope in this fandom.
Then You Think Again by leah k RATING: R WORD COUNT: 22,552 SUMMARY: "Derek says, "You reeked of me," which is unfair. Stiles only smelled because he'd gotten covered in Derek's bodily fluids trying to staunch the bleeding." MY NOTES: The one where Derek and Stiles have to become mates, move in together, and then eventually start dating.
This is Ridiculous by zosofi RATING: NC-17 WORD COUNT: 35,818 SUMMARY: "There's a unicorn in Beacon Hills. A fricken' unicorn. In fricken' Beacon Hills, California. And it turns out that unicorns aren't drawn towards virgins in a happy-go-lucky let-me-lay-my-not-at-all-metaphorical-horn-in-your-lap way. No. They kill them. And guess who's the only virgin idiotic enough to get sucked into the Beacon Hills supernatural scene? Stiles, that's who."
When You Stop Believing in Santa You Get Underwear by owlpostagain RATING: PG-13 WORD COUNT: 7,817 SUMMARY: "There are some salvageable things though. A virtually untouched heavy slate sign that says, engraved in an ornate script that confirms at least one person in the Hale family had a sense of humor (Stiles has a horrible suspicion it might have been Peter), When You Stop Believing in Santa You Get Underwear." MY NOTES: CHRISTMAS!!
With Just the Door Ajar by mirrorkill RATING: NC-17 WORD COUNT: 61,672 SUMMARY: "So there's a bunch of reasons why Stiles has been away from Beacon Hills: most noticeably being the time he accused his English teacher Jennifer Blake of being the evil Darach who spent two years sacrificing twelve of Beacon Hill's best. But Stiles can't stay away forever from the town that killed both his parents. When he gets a job offer he can't refuse, it's time for him to grow up and apologize for his mistakes. Which just lands him an invitation to Beacon Hills' wedding of the century. Jennifer's wedding. To the werewolf Stiles had a thing with in senior year. To the werewolf Stiles might not exactly be 100% over. Still, he's a grown up now and he can handle this thing without causing any trouble. Having sex with the groom repeatedly doesn't count as trouble… does it?"
Worlds That Turn On Their Own by RemainNameless RATING: NC-17 WORD COUNT: 54,954 SUMMARY: "When Stiles had left Beacon Hills, he'd done it with every intention of never coming back. Ten years later, he finds himself forced back to his hometown. Of course, it's not long before things are just as they had been before -- that is, falling headlong towards disaster, and this time, stopping it isn't really an option." MY NOTES: Lots of angst and eventual action. There are parts I feel like didn't quite fit or needed expanded upon, but for the most part I love this fic. Also, apparently werewolf!Stiles is a thing for me...
