RE: Torchwood
So after finishing the first season of Torchwood I've come to a few conclusions/realizations:
1.) Owen and Gwen annoy the hell out of me. Not necessarily their "relationship" (actually that's about the only thing about either of them that doesn't annoy me) but just their characters themselves. It's like...half the time Gwen is all go-get-em rough and tough and the other half she's all frightened and timid and screws up. It'd be one thing if her character was evolving...but it's not...it's just going back and forth and back again. And Owen's just a cocky asshole. The end.
2.) I love Ianto and his character doesn't get nearly enough play (at least not in Season One). He just has a dryer sense of humor that I appreciate. Plus, the suit for some reason reminds me of Barney Stinson's Suit Up! (How I Met Your Mother...in case you didn't know) and that makes me smile.
3.) "Countrycide" may very well be my favorite episode of the season. It sort of reminded me of Supernatural's "The Benders". I like when Sci-Fi shows twist it around to show that sometimes people are just crazy. Plus, more Ianto.
4.) I have a kink for attractive men in suspenders. (Picspam most definitely in the works.)
5.) This isn't a show I see myself entering the fandom of (except maybe if I find some good Jack/Ianto fanfic) but it's something I'll probably keep watching.
