Psych 3x13 Review
Have I mentioned I'm in love with this season? Cuz I so am.
Kind of a long review. I can't help it! I loved so much!
Favorite Parts:
+ The Lassie-Shawn banter in the beginning (Not necessarily even in a Shassie way...I just loved the back-and-forth.)
+ Gus going into the wrong room to freak out (Been there; done that)
+ FOOT PUNS!
+ LASSITER HAD A PINEAPPLE SMOOTHIE ON HIS DESK!!! (And seemed very protective of it...) If anyone has a screencap of Lassiter snagging the smoothie...I will love them forever.
+ "Color me impressed; and purple with a steak of magenta."
+ Lassiter + Gun!sports = LOVE
+ Lassiter actually disappointed that Shawn & Gus didn't speak up (He counts on them!!)
+ I loved the positioning of the SBPD 'team' as they walked off the field (when Shawn had Vlad's phone). Did anyone else notice it was Shawn-Lassiter Juliet-Gus?
+ "I slept on your face for years."
+ Juliet & Lassiter's reactions to Shawn in uniform
+ "Israeli Arena League: Didn't play on the Sabbath so you probably didn't see me."
+ Gus's tight polo (I think that's the first time I've ever spent more time staring at a trainer than a player...)
+ "I only use these hands to touch myself." (Oh Gus. Do the nights get lonely?)
+ The Russians Are Coming! (Okay...so he's not necessarily referencing the movie...but I love it anyway.)
+ "I'm huge fan of Chad. One day I plan to have his baby." (You and me both, lady)
+ Lassiter gloating over shutting Shawn's "cavernous piehole"
+ "Deep down in my psychic loins."
+ Henry calling Shawn a little bit of genius. (Awwwww!)
+ "I didn't know they made pads in extra small." (That was so a high-five moment)
+ "Everyone knows walruses are Libertarian." ('Tis true. We discussed it in PoliSci....)

What Really Got Me to Love This Episode:
Gus. With a side of Henry (and a dash of Carlton).
Seriously, I don't think I've laughed so hard because of Gus before. He had some AWESOME lines this episode. (And Dulé Hill is just awesome in general)
The Hover Technique? That stuff is GOLD. And I really did love the trainer uniform...
Henry was also LOVE this episode. He just seemed to be oozing pride for Shawn. I love the exploration of their relationship this season.
And Carlton? Well...Carlton was just...Carlton. *happy sigh*
Also, I liked that the Vlad character reminded me of Shawn ("free-spirit", "disappears in the off season"). I kind of wish the similarities had been played up a little more. But I at least liked that that much showed up. There should totally be a fic pop up somewhere where Shawn and Vlad are best buds on the road....
Random Side Question: Is anyone else bothered by the general insensibleness of Juliet's footwear? It's kind of always bothered me. Especially when they're chasing a bad guy and she's in heels. And then in this episode at one point she's wearing what look like stilettos. I'm just not sure that someone who frequently finds herself running would wear such things. But this could just be my personal vendetta against high heels. And I don't really think anyone's interested in me setting off on a long rant about the over-feminization of women in traditionally masculine occupations as portrayed in film and television...(Oops)
Anywho, I'd love to hear what y'all thought of the episode!
